Lactation Rooms: Private spaces are available. For more information, please contact Accessibility Services at [email protected]

Parking Passes: If pregnancy or a related condition affects your mobility, you may qualify for a temporary disabled parking placard. To apply, speak with your medical provider and contact the Department of Motor Vehicles. Contact Campus Safety (909-448-4950) with any questions about on-campus parking access.

Transportation:

  • Metrolink offers all students a 50% discount on train fares. Whether you’re commuting to class, heading to work, or exploring Southern California, it’s easier and more affordable than ever to ride Metrolink as a student. If you have a California EBT card, you can qualify for an additional 50% discount through our Mobility-4-All program. That means qualifying students can ride for even less, or nearly free.
  • Foothill Transit passes are available for free. Contact the Registrar’s Office ([email protected])

On-campus Food Pantry: The Leo Food Pantry offers food bags any time to pick up during monthly distribution. They offer four types of food bags: Regular, Vegetarian, Kosher, and Halal. Each bag has nonperishable foods, and fresh produce may be available throughout the year thanks to donations from the community.

Student Emergency Fund: Undergraduate, graduate and adult learners at the university may apply for limited emergency financial grants from the ULV Student Emergency Fund when urgent and emergency situations put their continued education at risk.

Campus Policies & Accommodations

Title IX prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex–including pregnancy, parenting, and related conditions. Pregnancy protections also apply to pregnancy loss and termination. Pregnancy is not considered a disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), but Title IX requires that universities provide pregnant and parenting students with the same accommodations as similarly situated individuals with non-pregnancy related temporary disabilities.

Pregnancy accommodations may be requested through the University’s Accessibility Services Office at Request for Modifications Information | University of La Verne
