The National Safe Haven Alliance equips Safe Haven Providers and parents facing unplanned pregnancies with safe alternatives that prevent infant abandonment while providing holistic care for both parents and babies.

National Safe Haven Alliance’s Keeping Mothers and Infants Together Fund is able to provide financial and in-kind assistance to mothers in need of temporary, short-term support who feel that relinquishing their infant under the Safe Haven Law is their only option.

This program provides:

– Financial and in-kind assistance
– Support system

In-kind assistance includes items such as:

– Diapers
– Bottles
– Baby wipes
– Baby clothing
– Journal
– Gift cards for grocery stores
– Stuffed animal/baby toys
– Pacifiers
– Diaper bag
– Special item for mother
– Card for new mother

Mothers consider needlessly surrendering their infants due to a lack of family support, socioeconomic challenges, inadequate daycare options, or temporary challenges making ends meet. Our goal is to walk with a mother, hand-in-hand, to provide the support desperately needed while supporting a mothers choice to parent their infant with compassion, empathy, and kindness in mind.
