Free and confidential pregnancy-related services that include (but are not limited to): pregnancy tests, pregnancy verification ultrasound, counseling, medical and prenatal care referrals, postpartum depression counseling, and abortion recovery. Other services include sexually transmitted infection (STD, STI) screening & treatment, parenting sessions, family aid of material assistance (diapers, formula, baby equipment, etc.), mentorship, and friendship.

Collaboration nurses offer parenting support, stress management tools and information regarding nutrition, feeding and care of children, birth control and behavioral issues. Nurses can offer support to moms, dads, grandparents and other caregivers and provide services on average from 4 to 7 months. 

The Nurse Family Partnership is a national program for low-income women who are having their first baby. A registered nurse visits the mother in her home every two weeks during pregnancy and up until the child is two years old to ensure that the mom and baby are healthy and doing well. The program is voluntary, and women can enroll

Public Health nurses provide home visits that improve the health, well-being and self-sufficiency of low-income, first-time parents and their children in El Paso and Teller counties. Home visits begin with women during pregnancy and continue until their child is 2 years old.
