Ithaca College recognizes the importance and benefits of breastfeeding for working mothers and their infants and and in promoting a family-friendly work environment. The College provides reasonable time away from work for lactating mothers to express breast milk and will make reasonable efforts to provide a private room or other location in proximity to the work area for such activity.

The Regina Maternity Services Community Case Management Program provides services to low-income pregnant and parenting mothers with infants and toddlers living in Nassau or Suffolk Counties. Services are offered in-person at various locations throughout Long Island, as well as virtually, including case management, crisis intervention, along with other parenting assistance.

Families with children younger than 21 years old or pregnant women are welcomed to receive temporary assistance and housing.

The mission of the Elinor Martin Residence for Mother & Child is to reach out with compassion to the distressed pregnant or parenting woman, help her deal with her concerns, and support her in the continuation of her pregnancy and the care of her child.

Located in Brooklyn and Queens, Independence Inns provide shelter and support for young people (16-20) who are experiencing homelessness or have run away. Their staff helps residents finish school and acquire skills that will prepare them to be self-sufficient. Several of their Independence Inns serve young woman and their children. Siena house provides transitional housing for 27 pregnant women and mothers with children under the age of two. The shelter consists of women who may have never graduated from high school, held more than 6 months of work, and have experienced domestic abuse.
