Campus Resources & Support

Peer-to-Peer Support Group: Mizzou Students for Life work to bring awareness to pregnancy resources and provide support to pregnant and parenting students. They coordinate with departments on campus to advocate for resources, rights, and accommodations. They also have a scholarship for pregnant and parenting students in partnership with The Campus Christian House titled “Missouri Pregnant and Parenting Student Scholarship.”

Health Center: Pregnancy Tests and Referrals Offered

Diaper Changing Stations: available in all Union restrooms.

Lactation Rooms: There are 30+ spaces available on campus!

Family Housing Available

On-campus Food Pantry: The Tiger Pantry is located with Truman’s Closet, located in the Hitt Street Parking Structure (enter off of Elm Street)

On-campus Career Closet: Truman’s Pantry is located with the Tiger Pantry, located in the Hitt Street Parking Structure (enter off of Elm Street)

Campus Policies & Accommodations

MU provides reasonable accommodations related to pregnancy, including adjustments to attendance requirements, course due dates, leaves of absence, and other similar academic or employment modifications. Pregnancy itself is not considered a disability under the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act). Accordingly, OIE is the appropriate Office to assist with accommodations, if needed. However, pregnancy-related conditions may be disabilities, in which case the MU Disability Center (students) and the Office of Accessibility and ADA (employees) process reasonable accommodations for the affected individual(s).
