Campus Policies & Accommodations

Reasonable Accommodations: Pregnant students are entitled to adjustments such as excused absences for medical appointments, flexibility with deadlines, and access to special services comparable to those offered to students with temporary medical conditions.
Leave of Absence: Students may take medical leave for pregnancy and childbirth and return to the same academic status they held before the leave.
Parenting Students: VCSU provides resources for student parents, including counseling services, health services, and family support information.
Confidentiality: Information about pregnancy or parenting status is treated as confidential and shared only with staff who need to know to arrange accommodations.
