Catholic Charities owns and operates two eight-unit apartment buildings in Elsmere, which together house sixteen families. With funding provided by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), we provide intensive case management services and assistance to these previously homeless families and individuals. In order to be eligible, a family must include at least one adult or child with a disability. This is permanent housing and families may stay indefinitely, though most choose to move on when they have achieved stability in terms of employment and income.

Madonna House requires all residents to work on fulfilling needed parenting, educational, and vocational skills so as to become the best possible mother for both her child and the community at large. Their current operation houses a 30 bed shelter, with on-site access to a laundry room, children’s playroom, and offices for their housing program, outreach services, and administration.

The Home of the Innocents provides an emergency shelter and residential care for children who have been abused, neglected, or abandoned. This involves pediatric and respite care, therapy rooms, aquatic therapy, parenting classes, adoption or foster care referrals, and many other resources.
- Catholic Charities St. Joseph Supportive Housing State
Catholic Charities owns and operates two eight-unit apartment buildings in Elsmere, which together house sixteen families. With funding provided by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), we provide intensive case management services and assistance to these previously homeless families and individuals. In order to be eligible, a family must include at least one adult or child with a disability. This is permanent housing and families may stay indefinitely, though most choose to move on when they have achieved stability in terms of employment and income.

- Catholic Charities St. Joseph Supportive Housing State
Catholic Charities owns and operates two eight-unit apartment buildings in Elsmere, which together house sixteen families. With funding provided by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), we provide intensive case management services and assistance to these previously homeless families and individuals. In order to be eligible, a family must include at least one adult or child with a disability. This is permanent housing and families may stay indefinitely, though most choose to move on when they have achieved stability in terms of employment and income.
