Diapers for Diplomas

Our Diapers for Diplomas program supports parents who are working toward their education goals while caring for young children.

Participants in this program can receive diapers as they continue their journey through school or certification programs. You must be enrolled as a part-time or full-time student at one of our participating schools; Austin Peay, Columbia State Community College, Middle Tennessee State University, Motlow State Community College, Nashville State Community College, TCAT Dickson, TCAT Nashville, University of TN Southern, Volunteer State Community College, or Fortis Institute (Nashville campus).

This program is designed to:

What do we do? Greenhouse Ministries offers multiple services to meet the physical needs of clients, to help them reach a better place in life’s journey. And each week, we host over 10 classes such as cooking, parenting, spring lecture series, and more.

Help Programs:

1. Our Health Clinic is open Tuesday – Friday 10:00 am – 2:00 pm We help with basic healthcare needs such as applying bandages, acquiring reading glasses, checking blood pressure, and more.
2. Our Springhouse is where we serve our community with food, clothing, toiletries, and other necessities.  To obtain a voucher, please come to our office and ask to speak to a Peer Counselor.  We are located at 307 S Academy St., and we serve the public from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. Please note* we do not offer transportation for clients at this time but the Rover bus service drops off directly in front of our offices.

Educate

Each week, we host 5–10 classes on basic skills, such as cooking and budgeting or lectures on various topics. All Greenhouse Ministries’ classes are 100% FREE, thanks to our wonderful teachers, who volunteer their time and resources. These classes center on topics:

For over 25 years, Greenhouse Ministries has become well-rooted in our community through our programs and connections with other organizations. Not only have we aided our fellow organizations, but they have also greatly blessed us by providing services for our clients that we don’t.

1. Our Chance: Where dreams are built together. We desire to walk alongside families as they seek to discover and work to achieve their dreams. Throughout this process, we are here to assist in areas such as helping you navigate through this journey, accessing benefits that are provided, being paired with supportive coaches and so much more. We can’t wait to meet you where you’re at and walk alongside you to achieve your dreams.
2. Springhouse: we provide our material services through use of the Spring House. The Spring House is designed similarly to a normal grocery store, with shelves of varying items (food, hygiene items, pet food, toiletries, clothing, and more) which can be utilized by our clients seeking services. Upon receiving counseling from a peer counselor, the client will enter the Spring House where they will be assisted in gathering available requested items. Because we are donation-based, availability of items depends on what we receive through our warehouse. The Spring House is one of our most significant tools for impacting the lives of our clients, and it has been crucial in the building and maintenance of our foremost goal here at Greenhouse: relationships with those we serve!
3. Hands up for Hope: provides connecting services to struggling individuals and families and assists them to improve life skills as they transition into life changing patterns. Our vision is to help individuals and families within Middle Tennessee escape a life of poverty and hopelessness.
4. Pathways to Success: intended to equip individuals entering into the work force with the work ethic, values, and job skills necessary to be successful in their employment endeavors. We offer free classes and volunteer experience that will enhance knowledge, skills, and abilities related to entering the workforce and leave participants ready to obtain full or part time employment.

Charis Health Center is located in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, and provides affordable primary healthcare to uninsured individuals and families across Middle Tennessee. Through a dedicated staff, committed volunteers, two clinic locations, and a mobile health unit, we expand access to care for those who might otherwise go without.

At Charis, every patient matters. We are committed to serving our community with compassion, faith in action, and excellence—advancing our mission so that care, hope, and healing remain within reach for all.

We are a medical clinic for uninsured individuals in Mid TN for $30 per visit, and a volunteer network including specialty care, local hospitals, and diagnostic services. Dental, eye, behavioral clinics, counselling and social services are also available.

Memphis Morning Center is a safety net clinic which is a locally led pregnancy support organization. They provide accessible, quality, patient-centered, prenatal through postpartum medical care. Utilizing a midwifery model of care and doulas, they represent the nations as a culturally competent group of individuals – able to meet the needs of its patients and clients with compassionate care and support.

Brooks House is a transitional, non-emergency shelter that has the capacity for up to 28 women and children to receive temporary shelter. There are 10 bedrooms, shared bathrooms, a kitchen, dining room, and family room. They are provided with meals, warmth in cold weather and a respite from the summer heat in a safe, comfortable, and caring environment.

At Foundation House Ministries, they provide homes for women in crisis pregnancies and aid financially, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. They know how crucial it is to have a strong, and stable support system when you’re expecting, so they will do everything in our power to make sure you are in loving hands while you are there. In addition, they enjoy sharing life lessons and approaches towards parenting.

Hope Clinic for Women offers low-cost, confidential counseling and resources for individuals and couples, with services provided by professional male and female counselors.

Support includes

• Counseling: perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs), pregnancy loss, post-abortion care, and general counseling.
• Pregnancy testing & ultrasounds
• Women’s healthcare: comprehensive well-woman care, STI/STD testing and treatment
• Parenting program: parenting classes, support, and material assistance
• Men’s mentorship program and counseling

Hope Clinic for Women offers low-cost, confidential counseling and resources for individuals and couples, with services provided by professional male and female counselors.

At Cherished Mom, we empower pregnant and postpartum individuals, families, and healthcare providers by raising awareness and eliminating the stigma associated with Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs), specifically Postpartum Psychosis (PPP) and Maternal Suicide. The organization uses lived experience as a call for urgent action to ensure no other family suffers through preventable tragedies. You are not alone.

Cherished Mom empowers families by creating space for survivors to share their stories. Through honest narratives of infertility, birth trauma, and loss, Cherished Warriors help others feel seen, less alone, and supported. These shared experiences offer connection, understanding, and hope for those who may be struggling right now.

Eligibility Requirements

This program can enroll those who are pregnant, the guardian of a child under three months of age or a child under 24 months of age who is connected to the Child Welfare System and live in one of the following counties: Cannon, Coffee, Dickson, Giles, Hickman, Humphreys, Lawrence, Lewis, Maury, Perry, Rutherford, Warren, Wayne, Williamson, Van Buren
