Opened in November 1986 as the first building in the nation built specifically to serve people experiencing homelessness, Samaritan House has been a Denver staple for 40 years. Throughout the decades,  thousands of people have been served and found safe shelter, nutritious meals and support services at Samaritan House. Today, our focus is primarily on serving women, families and veterans who are experiencing homelessness and food insecurity. The community we serve has evolved; our mission remains the same.

Housing Programs Offered:

1. Extended Stay Program: Single women, families, & veterans
   • 6-9 month supportive living program provides safe dorm beds or family rooms; three nutritious meals; showers; and support services including case management, individualized goal-setting, mental health clinical services, holistic wellness, employment readiness, housing navigation, financial and life-skills classes and referrals to community resources.

2. Emergency Overnight Shelter: Single women 18+
   • 40 dorm-style beds + two nutritious meals (dinner and breakfast) and bathroom services (no showers).
   • Participants can reserve a bed each morning with staff.
   • Participants with bed reservation will be checked in first starting at 3:30pm.
   • All other beds can be accessed on a first come first serve basis for those are eligible. Participant must check in by 5 pm to maintain bed reservation.

The Little Flower Maternity Home is a home where pregnant mothers over 18 can come and live free of charge from any point in their pregnancy until their baby is 6 months old. Mothers at The Little Flower spend their time saving money and working towards self-sufficiency. The Little Flower provides a safe, healthy, and loving community environment.

Opened in November 1986 as the first building in the nation built specifically to serve people experiencing homelessness, Samaritan House has been a Denver staple for 40 years. Throughout the decades,  thousands of people have been served and found safe shelter, nutritious meals and support services at Samaritan House. Today, our focus is primarily on serving women, families and veterans who are experiencing homelessness and food insecurity. The community we serve has evolved; our mission remains the same.

Housing Programs Offered:

1. Extended Stay Program: Single women, families, & veterans
   • 6-9 month supportive living program provides safe dorm beds or family rooms; three nutritious meals; showers; and support services including case management, individualized goal-setting, mental health clinical services, holistic wellness, employment readiness, housing navigation, financial and life-skills classes and referrals to community resources.

2. Emergency Overnight Shelter: Single women 18+
   • 40 dorm-style beds + two nutritious meals (dinner and breakfast) and bathroom services (no showers).
   • Participants can reserve a bed each morning with staff.
   • Participants with bed reservation will be checked in first starting at 3:30pm.
   • All other beds can be accessed on a first come first serve basis for those are eligible. Participant must check in by 5 pm to maintain bed reservation.

Founded in 2004, The Pregnancy Test Center is a locally organized and funded outreach. They provide a variety of free services and programs to meet the needs of their clients and of the community. Their services include a 24-hour helpline, free pregnancy tests/verification, referral for a free ultrasound, consultations on all pregnancy options, confidential education on sexually transmitted diseases, parenting classes, abortion recovery ministry, and material services.

Hope House is metro-Denver’s only resource providing free self-sufficiency programs to parenting teen moms, including Residential, High School & GED, and College & Career Programs. Additional supportive services include parenting and healthy relationships classes, an Early Learning Program, health and wellness, financial literacy and personal growth classes as well as certified counseling, all designed to prepare you for long-term independence. 

Bethany Christian Services is a global nonprofit organization that brings families together. Their services include adoption, foster care, and pregnancy counseling. If you are pregnant and considering adoption, Bethany Christian Services will provide pregnancy support and help you make an adoption plan. Bethany Christian Services can also provide financial assistance for living expenses during your pregnancy (e.g. rent when you can’t work, food, transportation, utilities, or maternity clothes) and help with medical and legal expenses if needed.
