Associated Churches is a unique faith-based organization that brings together volunteers, churches, and businesses to pray, serve, and work together to improve our community and respond to those in need.
Services offered:
- A Baby’s Closet: A Baby’s Closet helps families experiencing hardships by providing essential baby items to safely and adequately care for their children. The program provides a unique opportunity to earn coupons which can be redeemed for clothing, car seats, and baby supplies. Parents receive coupons for learning about parenting, keeping prenatal and well child appointments, childbirth classes, and keeping their children’s immunizations up-to-date. Some parents also earn coupons by continuing their education.
- Journey Beside Mothers: Through mentorship, in-school support, and weekly community gatherings, we walk alongside mothers as they develop essential life skills, strengthen their parenting abilities, and build meaningful connections. We are committed to supporting mothers’ mental and emotional well-being by creating safe spaces where they feel seen, heard, and valued. We know that motherhood is stressful, and no one should have to navigate it alone.
- Neighborhood Food Network: The Neighborhood Food Network offers families food once a month at no charge through a network of local, Allen County food pantries in churches and social agencies. Associated Churches Neighborhood Food Network is an “emergency food bank.” Our pantries provide a five-day supply of food to prepare balanced and nutritious meals as recommended by the Department of Agriculture nutrition food chart. Clients must abide by the guidelines.
